Kazi Nazrul University (KNU) is a government state university established in 2012 and located in Asansol, Paschim Bardhaman district of West Bengal. The university is named after the legendary Bengali poet Kazi Nazrul Islam and was established to promote higher education in the industrial and mining belt region of West Bengal.
