Visvesvaraya Technological University (VTU) is one of the largest technological universities in India. The university is located in Belagavi, Karnataka and was established in 1998 by the Government of Karnataka.

VTU is named after Sir M. Visvesvaraya, a renowned Indian engineer and statesman. The university is recognized by the University Grants Commission (UGC) and approved by AICTE.

The university has hundreds of affiliated engineering colleges across Karnataka and offers undergraduate, postgraduate and doctoral programs in engineering, management and computer applications.
