Defence Institute of Advanced Technology is a premier defence research and higher education institute under the Ministry of Defence, Government of India. Established in 1952 and declared a Deemed to be University in 2003, DIAT plays a critical role in India’s defence technology development.

DIAT offers postgraduate and doctoral programmes in advanced engineering, applied sciences and strategic technologies. With close collaboration with DRDO, Armed Forces, DPSUs and national research labs, DIAT is regarded as one of India’s top defence-focused technical universities.
