JEE Main 2026 (Joint Entrance Examination Main) is a national-level engineering entrance exam conducted by the National Testing Agency (NTA) for admission to B.Tech, B.E., B.Arch, and B.Planning programs in top engineering institutes across India.


The exam is conducted twice a year (January and April sessions), giving students an opportunity to improve their scores. JEE Main is the gateway to prestigious institutes like NITs, IIITs, and GFTIs, and also serves as the qualifying exam for JEE Advanced (for IIT admissions).

📝 Eligibility Criteria

- Candidates must have passed or be appearing in Class 12 (PCM)

- Year of passing: 2024, 2025, or 2026

- Maximum attempts: 3 consecutive years

- No age limit (subject to institute rules)

Based on NCERT Class 11 & 12:

- Physics: Mechanics, Thermodynamics, Optics, Modern Physics

- Chemistry: Physical, Organic, Inorganic

- Mathematics: Algebra, Calculus, Trigonometry, Coordinate Geometry


🧠 Exam Pattern (B.Tech – Paper 1)

- Subjects: Physics, Chemistry, Mathematics

- Total Questions: 90 (75 to attempt)

- Duration: 3 Hours

- Marking: +4 (correct), -1 (incorrect MCQ), no negative for numerical

- Result declared in percentile (NTA Score)

- Best score from both sessions considered

- Expected cutoff for JEE Advanced:
