UCEED 2027 stands for the Undergraduate Common Entrance Examination for Design. It is a national-level entrance examination conducted by IIT Bombay for admission to Bachelor of Design (B.Des) programmes at participating institutes.
UCEED scores are used for B.Des admissions at participating institutes, including IIT Bombay, IIT Delhi, IIT Guwahati, IIT Hyderabad, IIT Indore, IIT Roorkee and IIITDM Jabalpur, subject to the eligibility and admission rules applicable for the relevant academic year. UCEED 2027 Exam Date
The official UCEED 2027 exam date has not been announced by IIT Bombay as of 22 August 2026.
For reference, UCEED 2026 was conducted on 18 January 2026 from 9:00 AM to 12:00 noon. However, this date should not be presented as the UCEED 2027 exam date.
The confirmed UCEED 2027 examination date will be updated on the official IIT Bombay UCEED website after the release of the 2027 schedule.
UCEED 2027 Registration
UCEED registration is conducted online through the official IIT Bombay UCEED registration portal.
The UCEED 2027 registration opening date and last date have not been announced as of 22 August 2026.
Candidates should complete the online registration carefully and provide correct personal, academic and category information. Required documents and the applicable registration fee will be specified in the official UCEED 2027 registration instructions.
For reference, UCEED 2026 registration started on 1 October 2025, and the regular registration deadline was later extended to 5 November 2025, followed by late registration until 10 November 2025. These dates are historical and should not be used as UCEED 2027 dates.
UCEED 2027 Eligibility
The final UCEED 2027 eligibility criteria will be announced by IIT Bombay in the official Information Brochure.
In the latest UCEED 2026 cycle, candidates had to satisfy three eligibility conditions relating to age, number of attempts and qualifying examination. Students from Science, Commerce, and Arts & Humanities streams were eligible to appear for UCEED 2026, subject to the applicable conditions.
For UCEED 2027, candidates should wait for the official brochure before relying on specific age limits, Class XII passing-year requirements or attempt restrictions.
Qualifying Examination
The latest UCEED eligibility rules accepted Class XII or equivalent qualifications from recognized boards and specified equivalent examinations. The 2026 rules allowed candidates from all streams to appear for the examination.
The exact qualifying-examination requirements for UCEED 2027 will be confirmed by IIT Bombay.
UCEED 2027 Exam Pattern
Based on the latest official UCEED 2026 pattern, the examination consisted of one question paper of three hours, divided into Part-A and Part-B, with a total of 300 marks.
Part-A
Part-A was a computer-based section with a total of 200 marks and a maximum duration of 2 hours.
It contained three types of questions:
NAT (Numerical Answer Type): 14 questions
MSQ (Multiple Select Question): 15 questions
MCQ (Multiple Choice Question): 28 questions
The 2026 structure contained 57 questions in Part-A. The exact marking scheme for UCEED 2027 should be confirmed from the official 2027 brochure.
Part-B
Part-B carried 100 marks and had a maximum duration of 1 hour.
It contained two questions:
Sketching – 50 marks
Design Aptitude – 50 marks
Part-B was designed to evaluate candidates' drawing skills and design aptitude.
Important: The above pattern is based on UCEED 2026. IIT Bombay may modify the pattern for UCEED 2027, so candidates should check the official 2027 Information Brochure when released.

UCEED 2027 Exam Centres
UCEED is conducted at designated examination centres.
The final list of UCEED 2027 examination cities has not yet been announced.
For reference, UCEED 2026 was conducted in 27 cities across India, including Delhi, Noida, Mumbai, Bengaluru, Chennai, Hyderabad, Kolkata, Pune, Lucknow and other cities. Candidates were required to select three preferred cities during registration.
The UCEED 2027 city list may be different and should be checked after the official notification.
UCEED 2027 Cutoff
UCEED cutoff refers to the qualifying cutoff or rank-related requirements applicable to the examination and subsequent B.Des admission process.
The UCEED 2027 cutoff has not been announced.
For UCEED 2026, IIT Bombay announced the Part-A cutoff on 5 February 2026, while the results were declared on 6 March 2026.
Candidates should note that obtaining a UCEED rank does not automatically guarantee admission to a B.Des programme. Admission depends on the applicable eligibility criteria, rank, category, institute preferences, seat availability and seat-allocation process.
UCEED 2027 Result
The official UCEED 2027 result date has not been announced.
For UCEED 2026, results were declared on 6 March 2026, and candidates could download their scorecards from 10 March 2026.
The UCEED 2027 result and scorecard will be made available through the official UCEED website after the examination.
UCEED 2027 B.Des Admission
UCEED examination and B.Des admission are separate processes.
Candidates who qualify UCEED must complete the applicable B.Des admission application process within the prescribed schedule.
In the 2026 admission cycle, UCEED-qualified candidates could apply through a common B.Des application process for participating institutes including IIT Bombay, IIT Delhi, IIT Guwahati, IIT Hyderabad, IIT Indore, IIT Roorkee and IIITDM Jabalpur.
