UCEED 2026 (Undergraduate Common Entrance Examination for Design) is a national-level entrance exam conducted by IIT Bombay for admission to Bachelor of Design (B.Des) programs at IITs and other participating institutes.
UCEED evaluates candidates’ creativity, logical reasoning, visualization skills, and design aptitude. It is one of the most prestigious design entrance exams in India.

- January 2026 (3rd week)
📝 Eligibility Criteria
- Must have passed or appearing in Class 12 (any stream)
- Maximum attempts: 2 consecutive years
- Age Limit:
- General/EWS/OBC-NCL: Born on or after October 1, 2001 (expected)
- SC/ST/PwD: 5 years relaxation

UCEED consists of two parts:
Part A (Computer-Based Test):
- Numerical Answer Type (NAT)
- Multiple Select Questions (MSQ)
- Multiple Choice Questions (MCQ)
Part B (Offline – Drawing):
- Sketching and design problem-solving

- Total: 3 Hours
🧮 Marking Scheme
- Different marking for NAT, MSQ, MCQ
- No negative marking for some sections
- Drawing section evaluated manually
